What to do when the mouse quits working in Word 2007…
I use both macs and PCs to develop and test my projects. Occassionally, okay frequently, Word will stop responding to mouse input. I will use my arrows and keyboard shortcuts as long as I can and then I have to fix the problem.
This has happened to me so many times, including five minutes ago, that I thought I would share the solution with others.
* 1. Start Regedit.
* 2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\Data
* 3. Right mouse click on the “Data” folder and delete it.
* 4. Close Regedit.
Restart Word and it should function normally.
